I collaborated with Axis Studios to design and deliver all motion graphics and futuristic user interfaces for the Secret Level: Concord. It was an exciting opportunity to explore a distinct retro-futuristic aesthetic, blending bold shapes, clean lines, and a utilitarian design language.
The project allowed me to develop a new visual style while contributing to numerous key narrative beats and environments. I crafted dynamic and functional interfaces that seamlessly integrated into the storytelling, enhancing both the visual identity and the immersive world-building of the project.
I created a collection of background screens for the Implacable, a spaceship with a retro-industrial aesthetic. Using a primary orange colour palette, I designed bold geometric shapes and clean lines to evoke energy, precision, and functionality.
The screens balance visual depth and simplicity, with subtle textures and glowing highlights against dark backdrops, enhancing the futuristic yet utilitarian feel. Designed to be versatile and multipurpose, they seamlessly integrate into control panels and displays, adding to the immersive narrative of the ship’s environment.

The Guild Map
One of the most crucial narrative elements in the episode was the Guild Map—a detailed visualization that displays every single route in the galaxy. This piece was a significant focus of the project, requiring extensive time and iteration to get just right. The initial concept drew inspiration from the clean and structured design of the Tokyo subway system, which provided a foundation for the map’s intricate layout and interconnected pathways.
The design process was an ongoing development, involving multiple iterations and creative explorations to ensure the map was both visually compelling and narratively functional. Each version brought its own unique perspective, from minimalist approaches to more complex and industrial designs, as we refined the style to align seamlessly with the episode’s aesthetic and storytelling needs.
